Enemy at Gates

Athar Mudasir

The occupation of notorious regime landed in valley and managed to carve out enclaves of power, created chaotic situation in the vast beautiful and peaceful land surrounded by splendid mountainous regions and glorified by rivers gushing through tilth. the people who were poor economically and politically couldn't manage the influence and impact of breakdown of imperialism and became de-facto abridged on the diplomacy of two nations. The rulers whose rule was based on dictating majority onset of few people; made Maharaja in a state of confusion. the greed within the people was the primary factor which not only compromised the narrative of partition in valley but hypocritically dismantled people from power and made them hostile and the price of which every citizen pays since with blood and life.

Jungle

In the mid of jungle beside rive bank, the gushing waters and asundering river, stars wonder in fair, trees rising above sky, the muddy land with velvety sensation.
The howls of volves, hoots of owl remembers I am not alone.
Every minute passing with fear but such a peaceful movement I can't forget. For a time I came out of the occupation.
They become milestones of journey but the jungle  seems unending.

Commerce as vessel for dominating know world.

By Athar Mudasir M. Com/ M. A. English, Pgdibo

Commerce has played a crucial role in the history of mankind and in occupation of lands and territories. The fundamental factor for trade was and is transportation and communication. enriched the people who where dynamic and vigorous to trade and exchange their goods, culture, traditions, religion, language and power.
The first among traders where the Phoenicians about 1200BC they sailed around the whole Mediterranean and occupying lands and founding news communities, they dominated the region for 1000years carrying Gold, ivory, glass, artifacts, textiles. they occupied southern Europe and occupied northern Africa, eventually they dominated lands and by their mercantile military regimes and changed the course of history of Europe and Africa foundationally. the Phoenicians  where expert sailor and drew quickly goods and men across the Mediterranean.

While to the east, the Han's from china where spreading their routes and compassed far east to far west with their exchange of goods, gold, traditions, culture, religion, literature. these routes eventually where know as silk road. this trade of human discourse was very dynamic and encompassed vast material, social, economical and political elements. during this reign monotheism was spreading and rooting it's fundamentals which changed the history of whole region from it's grass root level. empire buildings and faith was held on the shoulders of trade routes. Chinese and Arab where mostly enriched by such trade and bottle necked European market.in north Europe the vikings know as raider where also profound traders they explored region and traded along sides of rivers and sea. the history of mankind cannot be separated from the voyages and reign of traders throughout world. Judaism, Christianity and later Islam separated and along sync the region and Europe was cornered to dark age and Islam was spread to vast and most far areas and bring vast material and human resource together and made better prospectus and helped scholars, chemists, art, culture to develop and grow making better governance and justice.

The Europe which was isolated into fights and sanctions didn't got to light until the on-rise of age of explorations while opening new route parallel to silk road and also new lands where discovered. this new era eventually concluded political and economical aspects together and provide new ways to empire building and exchange of goods and idea. the company entity came into existence which was substantially artificial and visible by constitutional tariffs became more than traders they colonized vast areas and spreaded imperialism to whole world making Europe develop economically, politically and technologically most dominant in world. they broke the historic silk road and made Asia to crumple into separatism and host of colonizers. the anti-mercantilism and economics changed the dimension of human standards making them consumerist and deconstructed the ethnic values, culture, traditions and religion. this technological out burst plunged the same Europe onset of world wars and devastated enormous human an d material wealth, creating new geo-political phases. though this era of modern history spreaded scientific knowledge to most world but still we are in same lucid mentality as where in 1900's, we face same threat of powerful nations. in contemporary world the traders which have been making profits in goods now sell weapons and bring vast devastation and threat to world peace and human life itself.

Gushing Spring

athar mudasir

The spark of spring and signal to life as call to unveil and out burst,
After a long pervert autumn's gloom and hard severing winter; hope of life seemed dead and decaying,
The morning chatters and whispers of birds give a pleasant wake-up call and reminds it's time to move out and spread.
The cool breezes give a refreshment rather than threat,
Every corner is filled by green grass and flowers blooming and smiling.
Frogs, creepers, birds, tilth flourish and rush.
The cloaked one needs to come out and move on, life doesn't stop with winter.

Community pharmacy

Various schedules under the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945

Community pharmacy

The present role of pharmacists in India is just confined to collection of prescription and dispensation the drugs. In Western countries, the role of the pharmacists is patient-centric. The broader role of pharmacists and better wages in Western countries played a major role in attracting talented pharmacists away from India. Though there are more than six lakh drug stores in India but there is no culture of community pharmacy.  Under community pharmacy, pharmacists are given with wider responsibility.

The newly formed Pharmacy Practice Regulations-2015 seeks to widen the role of pharmacists by bringing uniform ethics code and also broadening their roles and responsibilities towards patients. These new regulations could boost the concept of community pharmacy in India. The new regulations could allow the pharmacist to review the patient’s medical history and doctor’s prescriptions. They can advise the patient in use of medicine and can take part in clinical decision making. The community pharmacy under the new regulations would also enable the pharmacists to take part in R&D, health awareness and promotional activities.

Various schedules under the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945

The Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945 has provisions for classification of drugs into different schedules and also guidelines for storage, sale, display and prescription of drugs under each schedule. Major schedules are:

Schedule H

The drugs under this schedule can be sold only based on the prescription of a registered medical practitioner and only the amount specified in the prescription should be sold. It can be supplied only to licenced parties. These drugs should be labelled with the symbol ‘Rx’ and conspicuously displayed on the left top corner of the label.

Schedule X

Same rules are applied as per schedule H drugs. Here the drug retailer has to preserve the copy of prescription for two years and the drugs should be labelled with the symbol ‘XRx’ and conspicuously displayed on the left top corner of the label.  Schedule X includes narcotic and psychotropic substances-based drugs.

Schedule H1

This schedule was included in 2013 to check the indiscriminate use of antibiotics, anti-TB and some other drugs in the country.  These drugs cannot be sold without a valid prescription.  The package of the drugs will have a mandatory warning printed in a box with red colour border. The chemist should maintain the list of the customer names and details of the doctor who prescribed it. The list should be maintained with 3 years of data.
