Shadows of WAR

By Athar Mudasir

Shadows of War are rising like darkness
Penetrating every corner and street
People rushing, hiding in panic and distress
Looking in their stores and tanks

The fear is blazing the smile of kids
Leaving elders worried and anxious

People have forgot their kins and folk
Seeking protection of their own

Riches are busy in stocking their riches
While poor are stocking handful of grains

Sky till yesterday was mocking the people
Seems also  dried and sad today

The gloom has ramped the soil
The fragrance of wretchedness flares through gorges

How ugly can be lust of Chair
Human no more remain a human

The shadows are definitely from evil
Transgressing thy virtue and falls for trifle

What will be scene after some days
Has become illusion as shadows whisper in their Hearts

Thirsty for blood and life of innocence
What will thy win and what will thy loose
Is humans unintelligible thought.

Decades have banished, but the statue doesn't change.
